The purpose of the empirical project was to identify factors associated with life as an autistic woman, whilst the overall project looked more broadly at autism in adults. It is hoped that the promising findings from this research will be used to contribute to growing evidence relating to the importance of autism identification and autism acceptance for adults, pending peer review.
The research project was conducted by Abisayo Adekeye, Trainee Clinical Psychologist at Coventry University and the University of Warwick.
